Mombo Camp
Wilderness's flagship camp on the north-eastern tip of Chief's Island, where the game density is the whole point of the trip.

Three camps and one waterfall: Chief's Island for big game, the Duba Plains for lion and buffalo, the Chobe riverfront for elephants, and two nights above the Zambezi to see Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side.
Open any day for the detail. Everything here can move: add a night, swap a hotel, change the order.
Overnight flights reach Johannesburg in the morning, and a connection takes you on to Maun. From there a light aircraft crosses the Delta to the airstrip for Chief's Island, landing in time for the afternoon drive.
The floodplains around camp are known for lion, leopard and large herds of plains game. Long morning drives, a slow lunch and quiet afternoons on the deck before going out again.
A short flight north to a private concession of papyrus, palm islands and open floodplain. Boat trips through the channels add a different view of the Delta when the water is high.
Fly to Kasane for two nights under canvas near the Chobe River. Afternoon boat trips put you level with elephants coming down to drink, and the morning drives follow the floodplain.
Cross the border by road to Victoria Falls. A guide walks you along the rainforest path facing the main falls, and the second day is free for a sunset boat on the upper Zambezi or a helicopter flight.
A transfer to Victoria Falls airport for the flight to Johannesburg, and the overnight connection home to London Heathrow.

Five tented suites on a private concession of palm islands and floodplain, famous for the lions that hunt buffalo through the water.

Five canvas tents at a semi-permanent site in northern Chobe, with no electricity, bucket showers, and the elephant herds of the Chobe River close by.
Book a private vehicle and guide for your three nights on Chief's Island so you can stay out as long as the sighting lasts.
Add two nights at Jack's Camp between the Delta and Chobe for meerkats, the salt pans and a completely different landscape.
Upgrade the long-haul flights to business class in both directions. We quote the fare at the time of booking.
